Getting Involved in Zope Development
There are many ways to get involved in Zope development. To contribute, your first stop should be to read over the introduction to the Fishbowl process to get an understanding of how our open development process works.
Getting involved doesn't necessarily mean a big time commitment and writing code. You can make a great contribution to the evolution of Zope by doing any of:
- Reviewing and providing feedback on project proposals
- Reviewing and providing feedback on active projects that interest you
- Pitching in on the documentation aspects of a project, if you're not interested in writing code
- Using test versions software or other deliverables and reporting issues
- Asking a project leader if there is anything you can do to help!
There is also the opportunity to be a contributing coder, of course, depending on your type and level of involvement. See the CVS dev area for details.
If you are more ambitious you can submit your own proposals and run your own projects on dev.zope.org - all we ask is a willingness to work within the fishbowl process and that you provide a good example for future project leaders to follow.
