HTTPMounter

HTTPMounter is a tool to mount a remote HTTP server into a local Zope instance (similar to LocalFS).

Example

Assume a HTTPMounter instance is installed as /foo/members_zope.org and the base url of the instance is set to http://www.zope.org/Members/.

Fetching http://host:port/foo/members_zope.org/ajung/TextIndexNG/ will fetch the document from http://www.zope.org/Members/ajung/TextIndexNG/

Installation

• unpack the archive in the lib/python/Products folder of your Zope instance
• restart Zope
• select "HTTPMounter" from the dropdown element in the ZMI

Parameters

• "Base URL" is the URL of the remote HTTP server should be mounted into the Zope hierarchy.
• "Default document" is the default filename to be used when the mount point is traversed without additional path information (similiar to the "DirectoryIndex" directive of Apache)
