These tools are for upgrading all Zope objects of a given type in a ZODB, when it's necessary. You need to install the UpdateSupport product, listed below, and then select the appropriate Updater(s) to use. To find out how to use the Updaters once you have selected them, read the README.TXT file.

The files needed for specific updates are listed below:

ZCatalog (Zope 2.3.1b1- to Zope 2.3.1b2+)

  • zcatalog_btrees.py

Core Session Tracking (0.7.0- to 0.8.0)

  • CST080_idmgrs.py
  • CST080_datamgrs.py

I haven't done anything for External Data Containers as I've never used them. I've also had some problems with the Data Managers updater. It occasionally hangs, but I'm not 100% that they needs re-creating anyway. Ask Chris McDonough for more details.
