Localizer 1.1 beta 1 released

After one year and half since the 1.1 branch was opened, we are pleased to announce the first beta release of the new version of Localizer, the de-facto standard to build multilingual web applications with Zope.

Localizer supports the mainstream Zope based Content Management Systems: Plone, Silva, CPS and iKaaro, as well as plain Zope.

What's new?

  • Support for industry standards, TMX and XLIFF
  • Support for Zope Page Templates (the i18n namespace)
  • Improved user interfaces
  • New translations: danish, portuguese and russian

Install

Download itools, iHotfix and Localizer from http://www.ikaaro.org

  1. Install itools (a Python package), unpack it and type: 
      $ python setup.py install
  2. Install iHotfix and Localizer, by unpacking them within the Products folder of your Zope instance.
