Prototype versions (any version with a version number less than 0.1) are licensed under the GNU General Public License, also known as GPL, as published by the Free Software Foundation, version 2 or later.

Development and stable versions (any version with a version number greater than or equal to 0.1) are licensed under the MIT-X11 license, which is basically a BSD license with less nonsense.

If you can read this text, it means you are not experiencing the Plone design at its best. Plone makes heavy use of CSS, which means it is accessible to any internet browser, but the design needs a standards-compliant browser to look like we intended it. Just so you know ;)
