Zope wins Web Tools Readers' Choice Award

The readers of Webtechniques, CMG's magazine for web development professionals, have given Zope the Readers' Choice Award in the Infrastructure category of the Webtechniques Web Tool Awards.

The awards are given in recognition of "the most innovative proprietary and open source products used in each stage of the Web development and maintenance process". The Web Tools Awards event spotlights "products within each category that have played a force in shaping (or shaking) the industry in the past year."

Zope was competing for the award with products like MacOS X (which won the Editors' Choice award) and IBM's DB2 (honorable mention).
