Nuxeo Collaborative Portal Server 2.2 beta1 released

Nuxeo, a leading european Zope Service Provider, has released the first beta version of Nuxeo Collaborative Portal Server 2.2, an extensive collaborative Web content management system (CMS) implemented on top of Zope. Nuxeo CPS� enables organizations to easily, quickly and efficiently implement collaborative intranet, extranet or internet applications.

The main functioning characteristics of Nuxeo Collaborative Portal Server:

  • Collaborative publication of documents
  • Indexing and previewing of office automation documents (MS Office, StarOffice, OpenOffice.org, PDF, RTF, XML, etc. ).
  • Integrated search engine
  • Versioning
  • Mailing lists
  • Workflow
  • Integrated Meta Directory
  • Security (based on roles)

New in this release:

  • new FlexibleDocument product (web-based composite documents editor)
  • new WorkflowSchema product (web-based workflow schemas editor, tailored for administrative workflows)
  • new NuxRSS product (syndication using RSS)
  • bug fixes and other enhancements

Some of these enhancements come from the SIT du Bas-Rhin and CIRB GroupZope projects, as well as other internal and customer projets at Nuxeo. Nuxeo CPS is free / open source software.
