Slides and pictures from the Zope/CPS/ERP5 sprint in Paris
Talks and slides
The first day of the sprint was dedicated to a miniconference about the future of CPS and ERP5. The following slides are available:
- CPS3: overview and future (PDF, 160 kb), by Florent Guillaume, also available as OpenOffice and Flash. Since this talks mostly focusses on recent and prospective stuff, you might want to check out the slides from EuroPython 2004 for background information about CPS.
- CPSSkins (PDF, 480 kb), by Jean-Marc Orliaguet. Note that these slides are focussed on development topics; for background about CPSSkins, you should check out CPSSkins: a WYSIWYG theme manager for CMF, CPS and Plone (PDF, 1.5 Mb) by Jean-Marc Orliaguet, also available in OpenOffice, HTML and Flash.
- ERP5 (PDF, 880 kb) by Jean-Paul Smets, also available as OpenOffice and Flash.
- What users like / would like about CPS3 (PDF, 104 kb) by Eric Barroca, also available as OpenOffice and Flash.
- Nice to have features for CPS 3.4 (PDF, 104 kB) by Stefane Fermigier, also available as OpenOffice and Flash.
Pictures
Lots of pictures were taken during the sprint. Three sets are available:
- 64 pictures from the sprint, taken during the miniconf, the coding sessions and the pauses.
- Panoramic pictures of the conference and coding rooms
- Portraits of some Nuxeo team members
Code
Development took place in the second and third days. Five technical tasks were tackled by a development workforce of about 20 people, and code has landed on the Nuxeo and Nexedi CVSes. A report will be published soon detailing what has been done.
About Nuxeo CPS and ERP5
Nuxeo CPS is an extensive collaborative Web content management system (CMS) implemented on top of Zope and the CMF, that enables organizations to easily, quickly and efficiently implement collaborative portals (intranet, extranet or internet) and workflow-oriented business applications. Nuxeo CPS has already been adopted by major accounts in the Administration (French Ministries of Interior, of Culture, of Finances, French Atomic Energy Commission...), in the private sector (Suez, STMicroelectronics...) and by the major french IT consultancies (Capgemini, Unilog, Steria...). CPS is developped by Nuxeo and a community of contributors.
ERP5 is an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solution built on top of Zope and the CMF and published under Open Source / Libre Licenses. ERP5 main features include customer relation management (CRM), production management (MRP), supply chain management (SCM), product design management (PDM), accounting, human resources and e-commerce. ERP5 is developped by Nexedi and a community of contributors.
