the ZOPE Application Server can run on any platform that has a python interpreter, and a c compiler. here is list of platforms ZOPE has been known to work with (out of the box):

Windows 2000, Windows NT, Windows 98, Linux, Free BSD, Tru64, HP-UX, Solaris, OpenBSD, NetBSD?, MacOS, OpenVMS, BeOS?. I believe IBM's AIX takes some tweaking to get to work, but its not very difficult.

If you can read this text, it means you are not experiencing the Plone design at its best. Plone makes heavy use of CSS, which means it is accessible to any internet browser, but the design needs a standards-compliant browser to look like we intended it. Just so you know ;)
