This is the glossary for terms relating to or used in the Zope Mozilla Initiative.
Term | Definition |

CSS | Cascading Style Sheets. A W3C recommended specification for defining style information and presentation of web documents. |
Detailsview | The list-like widget in Zope Studio showing the list of objects (and their details) contained in a specific folder of a zope installation. Usually linked to the Treeview so that it shows the contents of the folderish in focus. |
Javascript | A scripting language embedded in mozilla which is used for (among other things) handling events and manipulating the document content. |
RDF | Resource Description Framework. A W3C recommended specification for describing properties of web resources. ( RDF) Supported and used extensively in mozilla for representing different 'data-model's which may be visually rendered using XUL. |
Mozilla | An open source standards compiant web browser project supported by Netscape. |
SOAP | Simple Objects Access Protocol. A Microsoft developed protocol similar to XML-RPC but more extensive, and to be supported in future versions of Zope. |
Treeview | The tree widget in Zope Studio showing the folderish objects of a zope installation. |
XML-RPC | A specification for remote procedure calling using HTTP as the transport and XML as the encoding. It allows programs running on different machines to make function calls across a network and is supported by the latest version of Zope. |
XUL | XML-based User Interface Language. The user interface language used for creating user interfaces in mozilla. |
Zope Studio | The next generation management interface for Zope servers which would provide a high productivity working environment leveraging the mozilla browser technologies. Currently under development. |
