• Where is Zope3 headed?

  • First alpha release of “Zope3X”, 31 December 2002. Zope3X is “ground up” rewrite, with no “backward compatibility” constraints.
  • “Milestone” releases provide some stability for application developers. Most infrastructre is present; APIs, configurations, may still change between milestones.
  • Roadmap
    • First beta release ~June 2003.
    • Zope3x 1.0 ~September 2003
    • Zope3, with well-defined migration mechanisms, to reach beta by ~December 2003.
    • Zope 3 1.0 ~1Q 2004
