Use Case: Search site for information

Actor: Site Visitor

  1. To search the site for information, you have 2 different options.
    • Quick Search
    • Advanced Search
  2. If you select to use the quick search for your site search, enter the keyword(s) in the search text box in your top navigation bar and select the go button.
  3. If you select to use advanced searching for your site search, click the search link in the top navigation bar. This will take you to the advanced search form. Enter your search criteria and select the search button. The advanced search form allows you to search for content based upon any combination of the following:
    • Full text search
    • Title
    • Subject
    • Description
    • Confined date range for new items
    • Type of content you are interesting in
    • Creator
  4. Both the quick search and advanced search forms return the results list which you can browse via the content Title, a short description, the content type and the date it was last modified.
