- With ZEO and the ability to make use of legacy
databases could PTK and Zope do the sort of workflow,
data access, and portal style UI that seems to be in
the works for Microsoft's "Sharepoint"? It would be
nice to crush Sharepoint before it gets out the door.
I guess Zope (et al.) scared them so much they decided
to build a "Zope killer" ;-)
No word on price but I bet they bundle a free 20 connections only style version with Win2K Server which would likely mean less new Zope installs on Windows boxes in the future.
Hmm Zope does workflow, different types of access control, uses DAV stores, has Squishdot and PTK. Maybe all that's needed is some kind of meta-Product bundle and some docs ;-)
