This product contains Python built in scripts from Zope 2.3.x.
For Zope 2.2.x Zope users I released another product in the same page which is a zip
file with a python file (it go to Extensions folder of Zope)
and a .zexp file (copy it into Import folder of Zope, then import it anywhere except Control_Panel/Products)
Is also a useful code source for beginners.
And I am still a beginner in Zope because I know less than 2%.
Download the Zip file and extract it.
Copy file IForum.zexp or IForum22x.zexp into C:\Program ...\Zope\import\ folder
and import file anywhere except /Control_Panel/Products.
On the picture you see the user full name.
I got the full name from PhoneBook with an SQL query.
In the Python script list I commented with # the SQL query and I used object.user as returned name. That is why the product you download from here will display the Zope user name instead the user full name.
I choosed this to work on any Zope 2.3.x without any other module installed.
Have phun!
You'll find dtml-scripts and Python scripts, useful to give you an idea about how to start programming in Zope.
I still like to make products which are exported folders instead to make instalable python products into /Control_Panel/Products.
And that because I found this way quick and easy.
One more thing
- A new topic means a new folder.
When you view the forum you must have at least ONE folder or else you get an error!
- The stars are computed by difference between # of agree and # of not agree.
The main folder (IForum) has a property called factor which keep how many stars is a big star.
- You can vote (agree/not agree) only once per each item.
Each item has a list with users which did vote.
Zope manager can change anything from Zope web interface (vote list, votes values, owner, data).
- Only Zope Administrators can add new topics.
