This products creates a new DTML tag: eval. The eval tag lets you inline a block of Python expressions to be evaluated. It optionally lets you assign the results of each expression to a key in the REQUEST object using the standard Python assignment syntax.

The product also contains a patch to the Zope DTML parser. This patch fixes <dtml-comment> so that you can have malformed or unbalanced DTML tags in a comment. This allows you to comment out the top of a <dtml-if> for instance, where before you could not. It also allows you to create your own custom DTML block tags that contain something other than parseable DTML.
