Rewriter lets you generate a HTTP redirect. For example: if you move a file and want to put a redirect in its place create a rewriter item pointing to the new location. (The term rewriter may be a little misleading, think of it more as a redirector.)
Rewriter is the release of a product used on Zope.org and I have agreed to take it over and develop it. (Credit goes to them for writing it). I haven't used it or developed with it yet, but plan to soon. As such there is little documentation, and is rather raw, however it looks pretty straightforward and works.
Installation is standard untar into your Product directory and restart Zope.
