Installation instructions:
CMFPortlets 0.5.2 is a development release that you must not install
in your current and working CMF. A new provided installer is meant to
smoothly install the product in existing instances but it hasn't been
tested. So until you get familiar with the implications, you're encouraged
to create a new CMF portal within your Zope installation and install CMFPortlets
there, before attempting your working instance.
- Unzip the distribution file into your Products folder.
- Download OptionChooser.zexp if you want to use the Interactive Layout
and host its DynAPI DHTML libraries within your portal. If not, you
can use the regular
source distribution (OptionChooser1.0_DynAPI 2.5.6.src) and store it
at another server.
- Move SamplePortlets.zexp (found within the root of your unzipped folder)
and OptionChooser.zexp files to your "import" folder.
- Create an External Method at the root of the CMF portal with the following
parameters:id :
- portlets_install
- title:
- Module Name: CMFPortlets.InstallPortlets
- Function Name: install
- Open your recently created external method and click on 'Test'. After
a while you'll see an OK message and the log of all the changes made
to your portal.
There's a report about problems at loading the product in Linux, due
to it was written and zipped in Windows, and that the workaround is to
manually remove the Ctrl-M characters from the __init__.py file.
