Flexible workspace configuration

Flexible workspace configuration This is another workspace dedicated to other folder contents, suitable to a content reviewer role. It's made out of three portlets, all of them uses the same portlet type we've used in this tour, but they've been customized by the user to reflect different content categories and workflow status of the items he wants to monitor. CMFPortlets relies on the portlets objects you design and create. The CMF -in my opinion- is about leveraging your own efforts to make a custom portal and corresponding content management system, so you're free to use any Zope technique to create a skinned container, delivering look&feels according to the guidelines of your team's graphic designer(s). CMFPortlets' future releases will focus on interaction with external sources through web services, and all other features mentioned at the main page. The main issue up to this moment is that there isn't a widely accepted standard for delivering portlets content, hence every major commercial software vendor uses its own API, and takes advantage of its position in the market to interest third party developers to write portlets for their platforms. This is expected to change in a relatively short time anyway, as at least one API from the OS world takes off due to a task force already commited to specify a standard. :) |
