Site managers should be able to install new releases of CMFSoftware without losing any customizations or configurations. In fact, since site managers will often want to redistribute their look and feel, CMFSoftware and customizations should be kept strongly distinct. Solutions that involve weaving a new look and feel from CMFSoftware with a customized look and feel muddy the distinction.
