<h2>SWF and Flash Resources Page:</h2>
**Noteworthy Community Hubs:**
- "were-here.com":http://were-here.com is a great site, with *extremely* active discussion forums
- "flashkit.com":http://www.flashkit.com has a great deal of tutorials and source code posted, similar to a "sourceforge":http://sourceforge.net for the flash community, but well, different.
- "flashguru.co.uk":http://www.flashguru.co.uk is where many flash developers start their day
- "actionscripts.org":http://www.actionscripts.org has tutorials, and maintanis a code library.
- "Flashcoders Wiki":http://chattyfig.figleaf.com/flashcoders-wiki/ is comprised of some of the lowest-level actionscript coders there are. This is a lot of extremely advanced info.
- "MM developers site":http://www.macromedia.com/desdev/mx/flash/ , straight from the horses mouth. It has become more important for breaking news about Flash MX.
**One noteworthy book:**
I don't mean to advertise anything here- but as the culture, code and tutorials about Flash are really vast, it is hard to find a serious centralized repository of information. The following book is the one book I would reccommend looking at, and is all about Server connectivity:
"Server-Side Flash: Scripts, Databases, and Dynamic Development":http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0764535986/qid=1028167469/sr=2-1/ref=sr_2_1/104-3777020-4443958
THE ONE CAVEAT of this book is that it was written before the release of FlashMX, but it does cover a lot of usefull ground.
**Flash Design Culture Sites:**
- "k10k.org":http://www.k10k.org/ a massive design portal
