ZopeGUM is a basic mail client for Zope.

It will support mail, via POP3 and IMAP (other protocols as well, depending on how the fetchmail program, which does the actual retrival of mail messages from external hosts is compiled). Zope GUM doesn't actually rely on fetchmail anymore, there is currently built-in POP3 support, IMAP will be implemented, but it's unknown at what point.

NNTP (News, aka usenet) will also be supported, with a (hopefully not to complex) "external" storage object, for easy, structured searches.
