History for DynPersist
??changed:
-
Small library that you need to compile from C in order to be able to use ZPatterns. We won't need this anymore when most people are using Zope 2.2, and a future version of ZPatterns can drop support for Zope 2.1.x.
At present, you'll need to compile DynPersist whatever version of Zope you're using.
DynPersist doesn't change between different releases of ZPatterns, so if you have it already compiled for your operating system platform, you won't need to compile it again. You need to have Python installed from source, or have have the python-dev !RPMs (or whatever for your operating system) in order to compile it. I've no idea what Windows users do. (Comments please?)
(NOTE: The above is no longer true. DynPersist versions prior to 0.4.2a3 had a bug with retireveing objects from other objects. If you have an older version, you will need to upgrade.)
If you can't compile it yourself, especially if you use Windows and need the dynpersist.dll file, take a look in the Zope-Dev mail archives and in the IRC chat transcription; some people have offered to make the DLL available if asked nicely :-)
