ZopeCommunityEffort

well, what you are reading is a community effort! I'm not quite sure there will ever be an organizaed list of what zope currently needs - that is not the model of Open Source Software Development. its mainly scratch your own itch model, but with a passionate community like ZOPE has it extends over into many areas beside the itchy ones. but here are my ideas to make ZOPE and ZOPE.ORG a better place.

  • contribute to the zope.org - register, and if you see something that is related to an area of zope.org create a news article or hyperlink and it then will be available to anyone searching zope.org.
  • contribute to dev.zope.org - ZOPE Development has lots of needs. The fishbowl process is the main effort at getting public involvement with zope developer - you can read How to Contribute to Development
  • contribute software - mod_pcgi, zpatterns, cvs mixin, squishdot all contributed software. please help the cause to snuff out overpriced bloatware.
  • contribute to documentation - manifests w/ HOWTO's, editorial help on documentation (community or DC-based), contribute to ZOPE.ORG's TIPS that are cataloged.
  • spread the word - there are a few documents on ZOPE Advocacy. I dont know the links. need links here.

If you can read this text, it means you are not experiencing the Plone design at its best. Plone makes heavy use of CSS, which means it is accessible to any internet browser, but the design needs a standards-compliant browser to look like we intended it. Just so you know ;)
