History for ZopeCompatibleTools
??changed:

I have never used Dreamweaver or BBEdit or the others, dont know how they work. but what TOOLS are successfully used w/ ZOPE?
* WEBDAV -
* IE 4.0 or above you can access ZOPE content through internet explorer! These are now known as Web Folders in Windows (they can directly be hooked to a ZOPE 'directory')
* Adobe GoLive - GUI web design program.
* WebDrive - "WebDrive":http://www.webdrive.com allows you to map a
WebDAV folder to a drive letter in Windows. You can then use standard Windows Explorer and file programs to copy or update content under Zope. Extremely useful for using with web design or text editing programs that lack WebDAV or have weak WebDAV support.
* DreamWeaver -
* BBEdit - BBEdit has a crippled FTP mode which doesn't allow it to save to Zope's FTP port. It would be simple to create a DTML glossary and the HTML syntax coloring could be used when editing DTML.
* EmacsOrXEmacs - Both have FTP modes, allowing transparent editing of FTP site content; a DTML mode is available for color syntax highlighting of DTML.
* vim -
* Zope Edit - is a program that lets you edit DTML Documents using your favorite local editor (I prefer metapad). dont use the newest version .4, its very slow - try version .3
* Mozilla - there is a project on the way to use Mozilla's widget-set to provide a full featured GUI into ZOPE. The project is called Zope Studio
