Several problems, particularly with the ManagementInterface?, seem to occur only for users browsing with IE5. This could be for two reasons:

  • IE5 is correctly implementing some standard which other browsers don't, but ZServer? is not expecting this correct behavior, and pukes (hey, ItCouldHappen?!)
  • IE5 is perverting the protocol, either through:
  • carelessness (e.g., failing to close connections properly,)
  • malice (e.g., to pursue the infamous EmbraceAndExtend? strategy).

If you can read this text, it means you are not experiencing the Plone design at its best. Plone makes heavy use of CSS, which means it is accessible to any internet browser, but the design needs a standards-compliant browser to look like we intended it. Just so you know ;)
