"NotMail" 0.1.0 (From README.txt)This is experimental beta code. You have been warned. VOLUNTEERING to help the NotMail project is strongly encouraged, in particular, I need assistance from someone who knows a heck of a lot more about IMAP programming than me. A good HTML/DTML designer to help clean up my layout would be nice too. Please contact me (Michel Pelletier: [email protected]) if you want to volunteer, or better yet, just jump on in and send me your patches. We are changing the name of NotMail for various reasons. One, it is the mature thing to do since the original intent of NotMail was to clone Microsoft's HotMail product. Since "NotMail"'s functionality and use now exceeds that of Microsoft's free email service, we should change the name. Another reason is that NotMail will be stretching in several directions, and we want users to get the impression that it is much more than a mail program. Name suggestions should be sent to the notmail list This software was developed against the University of Washington IMAP server on a Redhat Linux 5.2 machine. It is also tested against Microsoft Excange. If you do not have IMAP (most default RedHat installs don't have it) You can get the rpm from RedHat or the source code from http://ftp.cac.washington.edu/ NotesNotMail is a clone of other popular web mail interfaces. Since this is very early code much of it's intended functionality is not there (the hooks are though). NotMail is an IMAP client, and will not work in a standalone fasion. To run NotMail you will need:
