Zope Object Database (ZODB) 3.1
The ZODB package is a Python object persistence system. It provides the Z Object Database separately from Zope so it can be used in non-Zope related Python applications to provide transparent object-oriented persistency. The 3.1.5 release corresponds to the Zope 2.6.4 release, made on 12 February, 2004. The 3.1.5c1 release corresponds to the Zope 2.6.4rc1 release, made on 19 January, 2004. Zope compatibility: The ZEO package provided with ZODB 3.1.2 and up is not directly compatible with Zope 2.6.1 or lower. If you want to use ZEO, you should either upgrade to Zope 2.6.2 or install all of ZODB 3.1.2 into your Zope software home. The .tar.gz file is the source tarball. You must have a C compiler to build the software from this file. The .exe files are pre-built Windows installers - you need to get the one specific to the major.minor version of Python you use on Windows. Older ZODB releases have Windows installers only for Python versions 2.1.n and 2.2.n. Newer ZODB releases also offer a Windows installer for use with Python 2.3.n.
