Use this product to create and use jsp pages on a Zope server. But before to use this product back-up your server. History of changes is here This product does not support servlets. Use a combination of .jsp files, .class files and .jar files. Why I build this product? A forum to talk about is also available. You'll need a jsp server (Apache Tomcat or else) running on the same host where Zope is running. Sometimes Jsp pages are faster than Zope documents. Jsp pages are translated into java servlets, compiled and executed! Tomcat is 2x or 3x faster than Zope when execute an SQL query! A benchmark ZopeJsp vs Tomcat executing SQL statements is here! This product will create two new Zope objects: A jsp folder and a jsp document Inside the Jsp folder you may create any jsp and dtml document or method, then on update tab of your Jsp folder you'll replicate changes into jsp server. Into an jsp folder you do your work in Zope web management interface, you build your dtml pages and some jsp pages. When a web client will call a dtml document, Zope will provide the content. When a web client will call a jsp document, Zope will forward request to jsp server (now Zope acts as an http proxy) and then return the result. Before to use this product back-up your server. Updating jsp document root with content of zope jsp folder means to overwrite content of jsp document root. Samples are found in each JspFolder instance you create.
