ZAttachmentAttribute - Word, PDF, files into your own type (Zope, CMF, Plone, etc.)

ZAttachmentAttribute is used to help use of simple attachment files with user-created Zope products. Attachment support the following features :

  • Indexable (ZCatalog searches possible __inside__ content)
  • Automatic Icon, depending on uploaded filetype
  • Automatic filename change on download

The following file types are supported (including indexation) ON BOTH UNIX AND WIN32 :

  • MS Word
  • MS Excel
  • MS PowerPoint
  • Adobe PDF

The following file types are supported (without indexation) on unix only at this time:

  • Image files (gif, jpeg, png)
  • Audio (MP3)
  • Video (AVI, MPEG)

It is pluggable, which means you can make it support new file types.

Plugins package (ZAAPlugins.tar-xx.gz) is separated from Core component package (ZAttachmentAttribute-xx.tar.gz)

A demonstration component is provided for CMF/Plone (ZAAPloneDemo-xx.tar.gz)
