NewPageDesign

I've been experimenting with CSS and some of the opportunities to both make the current default page layout a lot nicer, while also making it degrade gracefully.

Goals

  • Increase attractiveness and usability of default PTK page

  • Open opportunities for customization by modifying user style sheets

  • Ensure that non-CSS browsers (Netsape 4.x, lynx, wireless, etc.) still get pages that are useful

Requirements

  • Make a page that looks exceptional on IE5.x, Mozilla/NS6, Opera, and perhaps Konqueror

  • Degrade gracefully on Netscape 4.x and text browsers
